A "Stage 1" tune will just be software - no need for other bolt-ons but you certainly can add them if you would like for a bit of a bump. Once you do a DP you should get the Stage 2 software which accounts for it and deals with the CEL you will get from it. Happy searching.
Tuning from stock regardless of stage 1 or 2 will be a massive improvement in power and torque over stock. However if you are comparing 91 stage 1 and 91 stage 2, you are gonna see around 20hp and 25tq improvement, so no not as much as from stock to stage 1, but remember how limited these come from the factory due to emissions and other regulations.
You can expect a 20-30% increase in bhp and torque after a remap. This extra performance is accessible across the rev range, particularly at low revs and in the mid-range. A typical 30-70mph run will be reduced by 1.5-2 seconds, and your car will pull better at higher speeds.
For example stage 1 could be intake exhaust and tune, maybe a lightweight flywheel. Stage 2 could be an underdrive pully, heavier clutch and cam with a tune that eats gas. Stage 3 would be a nasty cam that requires warming up the car for it to idle properly, multi plate clutch that sucks in traffic, can pass anything but a gas station, probably
A typical Stage 1 tune comprises of just an ECU remap with no upgrades to hardware. The power output for a vehicle can also vary depending on the fuel grades available. Customers bringing their car to us in Utah are limited to 91 octane at the pump, but those in other areas of the country where 93 octane pump gas is available will see even
Tune your receiver's fade control until the music comes out of the front speakers only. Then adjust the left-to-right balance to your satisfaction. Note where that setting is. Then do the same with the rear speakers. If the balance settings for the front speakers and the rear speakers are the same, leave them.
Reprogrammation and optimization intake and exhaust. For those who want a little more than stage 1, we have a stage 2 which consists of optimising a number of elements around the engine to increase the efficiency of the engine. Primarily this is about intake and exhaust. A lot of air-intake systems are very restrictive because of their anti
A stage 1 tune gives a slight power increase. Stage 3 pushes the limit of your car's reliability and streetability but maximizes the power. Think of performance clutches. Stage 1 is for a slight power increase and daily driving. Higher "stages" are for track use, racing, strenuous use and high power.
Here is what defines our Stage 1 tune. At its most basic level the Accord ECU operates by torque control. You specify your target torque and the ECU will adjust boost, cam angle and ignition to hit that target torque.
Car audio experts like to describe the stereo listening experience as a sound stage, meaning that a properly tuned car audio system should create the illusion that a band is playing in front of you, with lead instruments coming from the left and right, and with the rhythm section and vocals centered right in front of you.
