MMI Update. My E-Tron is a year old and I have had minor nagging issues with the MMI - taking too long to make bluetooth connection, phone destinations not arriving at car etc just minor stuff. I took it to the dealership this week and was advised there was an update for it, which I kind of suspected with no over the air updates (as almost The most important thing about the firmware update is that it has to be done with motor on! As with any Audi update, before purchase you’ll need to check your MMI type and firmware version. Go to MMI’s Engineering Menu – to do that you’ll need to push CAR and SETUP buttons – and check the firmware version. You must first get the script from this page. Please note that this script works only with MMI 3G Basic, MMI 3G High, MMI 3G Plus. IT DO NOT WORKING WITH RMC,MIB, MMI 2G and other. Please unzip the GreenMenuActivation.zip file, go to the GreenMenuActivation unzipped MMI SOFTWARE UPDATE TO 4610. 06 A8 has no back up camera, no AMI, these options don’t exist until 07 A8 for camera and 08 A8 for AMI. In order for these things to work, the MMI system must be updated to the latest software. For adding AMI, we only need 3360 and for camera, my Q7 has 4140.
