The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is a professional-grade 30.1-megapixel full-frame digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera made by Canon. Succeeding the EOS 5D Mark III, it was announced on 25 August 2016. The Mark IV went on sale in September 2016 with a retail price of $3,499 in the US, £3,599 in the UK, and €4,129 in the Eurozone.
And the camera is a known entity for you, not a second hand camera that you really don't know how it has been treated. I had one with a lot of shutter bounce and the shutter and mirror box needed replace about 18 months ago, that cost me cost $1050. The 1Dx is still a great camera, I prefer the color from it compared to the 1Dx Mark II.
Fortunately, everything ultimately ends well. McKinnon successfully disassembles and then reassembles the 1DX Mark II before sending it to Canon for repair. The camera maker even provided McKinnon with a loaner unit to use while his own camera was in the shop.

Whiz. Options. 12-21-2020 11:25 AM. I just read a fascinating article in Digital Camera World that says Canon has filed a design patent which completely eliminates the shutter button and replaces it with a larger pressure-sensitive touchpad, or "touch panel," if you will. I like it!
New mirror and shutter drive mechanisms, fine-tuned using simulations, allow for the faster burst rates and reduced viewfinder blackout. Canon claims the new lowpass filter will result in more naturally blurred backgrounds. Together, the sensor and Digic X processor offer a max native ISO value of 102,400, with a max expanded ISO value of 819,200.

If you take the time to GOOGLE "Defects with Canon 1DX Printed Circuit Boards" "Defects with Canon 1DX Circuit Boards" "Defects with Canon 1DX PCB's" You'l you're not alone

Replacing 5D Mark II shutter. Sep 29, 2016. Hello everyone, I have a question that I haven't really been able to find an answer for. I currently use a 5D Mark II. I skipped the 5D Mark III and waited for the 5D Mark IV. Now that it's out, I'm debating whether I should upgrade.
